My name is Abubakr Gul and I graduated from the Department of Economics with the degree of BSc Hons in 2015. A lot has changed since then, I have experienced a tremendous amount of personal and professional growth. I am humbled and proud to be part of an institute which has helped me in the best way possible to outgrow my learnings and to stand strong in my professional career.
I always had a special place in my heart for cars and the passion led me to working in one of the most prestigious Automotive brands in the world, ‘Porsche AG’. I started working as a Sales Coordinator and within a year I was promoted to Sales Consultant. I sold more than 16 cars within a span of 1 Year and 6 months which is a pretty decent number when your product costs more than $300,000/-. Porsche Pakistan poured massive exposure to my personality and my career growth. I dealt with top personalities of Pakistan and assisted them with the purchase of their dream cars. It was pretty evident that I was breaking my mental barriers and every step took me further.
After almost 3 years, I decided to explore different industries in Pakistan so I joined Zong CM Pak as a ‘Relationship Manager’ and continued my journey in Sales.
I faced many challenges due to an overnight change of industry, its people and different working dynamics but it made me stronger and helped me achieve my goals.
I exposed myself to mass markets and customer needs which were backed by the leading 4G Telecom entity and it motivated me further, I worked with Zong CM for 2 years.
Currently, I am working as a Key Account Manager at Jazz Telecom, the market leader in the telecom industry. The culture is rich and there is so much to learn, Jazz Telecom gave me a chance to experience the true flavor of MNC and helped me climb the ladder of my success and career against my goals.
