Success Stories from BNU - Institute of Psychology - Sarah Babar:
For me, landing up at BNU was all a matter of fate. I was studying outside the country and one thing led to the other and I was studying Applied Psychology. It wasn’t always perfect; I wasn’t always the best student. But I found friends to last, I loved so many of my teachers, and I found a place I could call home (and I still do). After graduating I worked at MangoBaaz as a writer and eventually became the Editor for two years, while co-running an entertainment platform, called The Orange Wall.
BNU allowed me to be comfortable around big names in the entertainment industry, so many of who teach at the institute and so many who used to visit. I used to be so shy in front of even marginally famous people, but now we’ve interviewed celebrities from across the world- the likes of Mahira Khan, Osman Khalid Butt, Bilal Ashraf, Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, to name a few. And now after dabbling in so many fields, I’m finally writing my first book, and setting up an educational consultancy firm and a clothing line.
None of this would have been possible without BNU. I wouldn’t have gotten half the confidence to put my work out in public, to be in public or to dare to tread in careers I had no prior experience with. After being pushed to do better, to do more, for four years, I started believing in myself and my capabilities.
