I am Zeest Faisal from the School of Mass Media and Communication Department (SMC), I was born and raised in Egypt and I recently moved back to Pakistan. Luckily, I got a chance to start my university life at BNU, I just finished my 1st year here and it has been a pleasant journey so far. Comparing it to the educational experience I had in Egypt, there isn’t much difference but I was fortunate enough to get a chance to study with students from over 50+ nationalities as it was an interesting blend of different cultures. Pakistan International School of Cairo was unlike any other regular school and I never thought I would find diversity again.

BNU proved that wrong as it’s a place where you get a chance to creatively express yourself without any judgment compared to other educational institutions in Lahore. Moreover, students from different cultures and backgrounds can easily adjust here as it encourages the young minds to celebrate individuality and makes them feel at home. I have learnt a lot within this one year at BNU, not only did I get to enhance my skills but I also got to explore new things on daily basis. After spending some time here, I realized whatever it is that I want to create and put out should be utilized in a professional manner.

Back in Egypt I didn’t know much about the industry, whereas here at BNU not only do I get to learn about my field from the faculty I also get to interact with many famous celebrities and artists who come here for movie promotions or to deliver amazing inspirational speeches that motivate us to explore our skills even more. Furthermore, just like any other department here TFT and SMC helps you connect with people who have accomplished things in your field and create instant links.

Here at BNU, I get to mingle with different people with varying interests those who hold a different approach to things. The thing that I appreciate the most about BNU is that here with diversity comes acceptance. Also, the teachers here are diligent and hard-working with a solid educational background. With their help I have been able to score well, they are very understanding and cooperative by nature. I consider BNU as my second home as it’s a little hub of multi-talented people and you get to learn something new every other day. BNU provides a perfect atmosphere for creative people who are trying to look for an expressive outlet.
